Teens & YouTube

According to Pew Research Center, it turns out that 1 in 5 teens (13-17) are almost constantly on YouTube, with an even more telling statistic - 3 out of 4 teens don't use Facebook!

This is a clear indication that the younger demographic is moving away from 2D platforms like Facebook and towards more interactive forms of social media.

Kids & Roblox

This trend first emerged in 2017 when comScore found kids under 13 spend more time in Roblox than any other online entertainment properties combined.

“There is something missing in conventional social media right now. We have social networks like Facebook, KakaoTalk, Twitter and Naver for communication. But they’re all based on text, pictures and movies. I think the next step is going to be having social experiences where you can get together with your friends in a virtual world, wherever you are,”
